Invitrogen™ SEMA4A Monoclonal Antibody (KL-1 (aka SK31)), eBioscience™

Rat Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Invitrogen™ 14-1002-82
Description
Description: The KL-1 (aka SK31) antibody reacts with mouse Sema4A, a class IV semaphorin originally identified as SemB. Sema4A is structurally similar to Sema4D/CD100. Sema4A is reported to be expressed by dendritic cells, B cells and activated T cells. Although published data suggested that Sema4A binds to Tim-2, a T cell surface receptor, it remains to be definitively shown that these two molecules have a receptor/ligand relation. It is suggested that Sema4a can provide costimulatory signals for T cells. This KL-1 antibody works in immunoblotting but requires non-reducing conditions. Applications Reported: This KL-1 (aka SK31) antibody has been reported for use in immunoblotting (WB). Applications Tested: The KL-1 (aka SK31) antibody has been tested by immunoblot analysis of mouse Sema4A transfected cells under nonreducing conditions. This can be used at less than or equal to 5 μg/mL. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.
SEMA4A is a member of the semaphorin family of soluble and transmembrane proteins. Semaphorins are involved in guidance of axonal migration during neuronal development and in immune responses.
