Isolate, cultivate and differentiate dermatophytes, fungi and yeasts using this ready-to-use medium.

Isolate, cultivate and differentiate dermatophytes, other fungi and yeasts, using acidic pH Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (EP, USP, JP, BP). The low pH supports the growth of fungi while inhibiting bacterial growth in mixed samples. Fungi maitain their typical appearance and thus may be readily identified according to standard macroscopic characters as described by Sabouraud1. The medium conforms to the formulations detailed in international pharmacopoeia2,3,4,5.

Use Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (EP, USP, JP, BP) for the isolation of dermatophytes, other fungi and yeasts. The medium gives reliable results with Microsporum audouini, Microsporum canis, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton flavum, Trichophyton rubrum and Candida albicans
