Description

Gently oxidize glycoprotein carbohydrate sugars to create reactive aldehydes (carbonyls) for crosslinking and immobilization using NaIO4 (CAS 7790-28-5).

Thermo Scientific™ Pierce Sodium meta-Periodate is a gentle oxidizing agent that effectively cleaves cis-diols in carbohydrate sugars to create reactive aldehydes, providing many uses relating to the study and detection of glycoproteins.
