Description

The PathHunter™ U2OS FGFR4-β-Klotho Bioassay Kit measures FGFR4-β-Klotho signal by recruitment of SH2 domain protein to the activated receptor. Bioassay kits contain all assay materials: cells, reagents, and plates.

The PathHunter™ FGFR4-β-Klotho Bioassay kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to determine FGF-19 potency and detect neutralizing antibodies. This bioassay assesses FGF19-induced activation of FGFR4-β-Klotho RTK receptors via detection of SH2 domain protein recruitment. This product uses EFC technology. The included cell line overexpresses PK-tagged FGFR4 and an EA-tagged SH2 domain protein. It also overexpresses an untagged coreceptor, β-Klotho. Upon ligand-induced receptor activation, SH2-EA recruitment leads to production of EFC signal. Bioassay kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, control agonist, detection reagent, and assay plates.
