Description

Histone component provides a sensitive index of mitosis

The HCS Mitotic Index Kit represents a powerful image-based assay for the identification of compounds that affect mitotic progression. The kit provides a primary antibody against Histone H3 (pS10) as a sensitive index of mitosis and a secondary antibody conjugated to the Alexa Fluor™ 488 dye. DAPI and the HCS NuclearMask™ Deep Red stain (H10294) provide two choices in the kit for DNA profiling and cell demarcation. This kit is amenable to combination with other measurements such as DNA profiling, general cytotoxicity, or immunocytochemical detection of choice targets. The kit contains sufficient reagents to perform two, 96-well plates.
