Biotinylate protein amines (e.g., lysines) with this long-chain (22.4A), NHS-ester biotinylation reagent containing a membrane permeable spacer arm for intracellular labeling.

Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link NHS-LC-Biotin is a long-chain, NHS-ester activated biotinylation reagent for labeling primary amines (e.g., protein lysines), whose membrane permeability enables it to be used for general intracellular labeling.

Highlights:

  • Extended spacer arm reduces steric hindrance when binding several biotinylated molecules to one avidin complex
  • Less water-soluble than Sulfo-NHS-LC-Biotin
  • Dissolve in organic solvent (DMSO or DMF) before use
  • Penetrates cell membranes because it is uncharged
