Biotinylate reduced cysteines with this long, maleimide-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent with an 11-unit PEG spacer arm to enhance solubility and reach.

Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link Maleimide-PEG11-Biotin is a long, maleimide-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent that includes an 11-unit polyethylene glycol spacer arm for increased water-solubility and reach.

Highlights:

  • Polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer yields biotin-labeled proteins with greater solubility and less aggregation
  • Forms stable thioether bond at pH 6.5-7.5
  • PEG spacer improves aqueous solubility, allowing labeling to be performed under non-denaturing, physiological conditions
  • Extended spacer arm reduces steric hindrance in binding to avidin, streptavidin and Thermo Scientific NeutrAvidin Proteins
