Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link HPDP-Biotin is pyridyldithiol-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent that conjugates via a cleavable (reversible) disulfide bond to enable use in a variety of purification methods.

Highlights:

  • Pyridyldithiol reacts with -SH groups to form a stable disulfide bond
  • Absorbance of pyridine-2-thione leaving group at 343nm can be used to determine reaction progress
  • Disulfide bond is cleavable using 50mM DTT (Part No. 20291) or 100mM β-Mercaptoethanol (Part No. 35600)
  • Extended spacer arm prevents steric hindrance
  • Must be dissolved in DMSO or DMF before use
  • Biotinylation occurs between pH 6-9
