Description
AA Sequence of recombinant protein: EFELDRICGY GTARCRKKCR SQEYRIGRCP NTYACCLRKW DESLLNRTKP. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Humn BD-4. Anti-Human BD-4-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect hBD-4 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human BD-4 (500-P268) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hBD-4. Western Blot: To detect hBD-4 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hBD-4 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P268BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg
Defensins form a family of antimicrobial and cytotoxic peptides made by neutrophils. Defensins are short, processed peptide molecules that are classified by structure into three groups: alpha-defensins, beta-defensins and theta-defensins. All beta-defensin genes are densely clustered in four to five syntenic chromosomal regions. Chromosome 8p23 contains at least two copies of the duplicated beta-defensin cluster. This duplication results in two identical copies of defensin, beta 104, DEFB104A and DEFB104B, in head-to-head orientation. This gene, DEFB104A, represents the more centromeric copy.Specifications
