Invitrogen™ CD105 (Endoglin) Monoclonal Antibody (SN6), Functional Grade, eBioscience™

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Invitrogen™ 16-1057-82
Description
Description: The SN6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD105, also known as Endoglin. CD105, an approximately 90 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer is expressed by vascular endothelial cells and some bone marrow cells and activated macrophages. It is suggested that CD105 functions in adhesion and embryonic angiogenesis. Applications Reported: This SN6 antibody has been reported to have functional activity. Applications Tested: This SN6 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of U937 cell line. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/μg antibody, as determined by LAL assay. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.
CD105 or Endoglin is a Type I transmembrane protein, which is highly expressed on human vascular endothelial cells. It exists on an O- and N-glycosylated homodimer. Up regulation of endoglin expression has been demonstrated in tumor vasculature and proliferating cells, suggesting that it is a proliferation associated endothelial marker. CD105 binds to TGF beta 1 and 3 with high affinity but not to TGF beta 2.
