Provides a leak-tight physical barrier to protect operator from hazardous airborne particulates and powders

  • One-piece molded, medium-density polyethylene shell
  • Dry powder epoxy-coated steel superstructure and interior shelf of transfer chamber
  • 0.25 in. (0.64 cm) thick laminated safety glass viewing window with powder-coated steel frame and neoprene gasket
  • Upward-pivoting inner and outer transfer chamber doors counterbalanced and equipped with quick-latches
  • Black, chemical-resistant phenolic core work surface sealed to glove box floor
  • Dual HEPA filters boast 99.99% efficiency against particulates down to 0.3 microns
  • 0.05 ppm or lower average tracer gas levels detected during perimeter scan testing surpass ASHRAE™ 110 standards
  • Testing with mass spectrometer reveals no detectable leaks > 1 x 10-3mL/sec. when tested while glove box pressurized with He at 1 in. water gauge
  • Vibration < 1.5 x 10-5 in. displacement when measured at work surface at both min and max airflow volumes
