The Applied Biosystems VetMAX M. paratuberculosis 3.0 Toolbox provides a fast, user-friendly workflow fit for high-throughout processing with enhanced performance to detect Mycobacterium avium ssp. paratuberculosis (MAP) nucleic acid in animal samples in various sample matrices.

The Applied Biosystems VetMAX M. paratuberculosis 3.0 Toolbox provides a fast, user-friendly workflow fit for high-throughput processing with enhanced performance to detect Mycobacterium avium ssp. paratuberculosis (MAP) nucleic acid in animal samples in various sample matrices. This set of products provides everything you need for effective MAP qPCR testing in one handy 'toolbox'. Sample input consumables, sample disruption module (including an option for prefilled deep-well disruption plates), nucleic acid purification kit, and real-time pcr assay kit are all included for convenience and easy ordering.

The included VetMAX M. paratuberculosis 3.0 assay kit can be used to test for MAP in many species (bovine, ovine, caprine, and Camelidae) and a wide variety of sample types (feces, environmental samples, tissues, milk). This kit is also available separately (Cat. No. A40001753).

Key features and benefits

  • Complete solution—the workflow has been validated with high quality lab consumables that help enable consistent sample input. These consumables are included in this toolbox product or can be purchased separately (Cat. No. A40004822).
  • Flexibility—validated for multiple species and sample types; pooling for fecal samples with solution including lysis/stability/no foam capacity; high- and low-throughput protocols
  • Streamlined disruption protocol—the assay is validated alongside our MagMAX CORE disruption modules, which now have fewer sample preparation steps (also available separately, Cat. Nos. A40004818 and A40004819)
  • Faster—compatible with express extraction (~21 min) and fast amplification (<1 h) programs; includes a ready-to-use master mix
  • High-throughput disruption option—the MagMAX CORE Disruption Plates Module contains deep-well plates prefilled with zirconia beads, helping enable quick processing of >96 samples with no need for individual screw top tubes
  • Sustainability—less steps = less tips; high-throughput packaging of 500 reactions limits plastics, boxes, and size of shipments/stockage

Switching to the VetMAX M. paratuberculosis 3.0 solution will not only streamline your workflow but also improve the user-friendliness of your entire MAP qPCR testing procedures.
