Description

Description

Description: This MR54 monoclonal antibody reacts with human Trop-2, which is also known as Tumor-Associated Calcium Signal Transducer 2 (TACSTD2) and EGP-1. This type I transmembrane glycoprotein is expressed on trophoblast (syncytiotrophoblast and cytotrophoblast), epithelial, and most human carcinoma cells. Trop-2 plays a role in calcium-mediated signaling. Trop-2 has also been reported as an oncogene, with expression being correlated with tumorigenesis, metastasis, and anchorage-independent growth. Applications Reported: This MR54 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This MR54 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of MCF7 cell line. This can be used at 5 μL (0.125 μg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Excitation: 488-561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

TROP2 is a carcinoma-associated antigen defined by the monoclonal antibody GA733. This antigen is a member of a family including at least two type I membrane proteins. It transduces an intracellular calcium signal and acts as a cell surface receptor. Mutations of its gene result in gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe corneal amyloidosis leading to blindness.
