Human Polyclonal Isotype Control

Concentration may vary slightly from lot-to-lot, see lot-specific datasheet for exact concentration. Purity: The precipitin lines against goat anti-human whole serum are the same as those against goat anti-human IgM, Fc5-mu fragment specific, when assayed by immunoelectrophoresis at an antigen concentration equivalent to 20 mg/mL. No reaction was observed against goat anti-human IgG, Fc fragment specific, goat anti-human IgA, alpha chain specific, or goat anti-human alpha-2-macroglobulin. This antibody is recommended for use in blocking assays, immunohistochemical, immunocytochemical and immunofluorescent applications. Storage: Store product at 4°C until opened. After opening, dilute only enough antibody for a single day's use. Store remainder at 4°C under sterile conditions. Country of Origin: USA.

IgM is expressed intracellularly, during early stages of B lymphopoiesis, and then on the surface of more mature B cells in the bone marrow and peripheral B cells.
