Description

Filters consist of individual strands woven into a mesh screen, characterized by precise mesh openings, percent open area and mesh thickness

There are 5 material types available with different physical, chemical and thermal characteristics to select from depending on the application: Nylon (N), Polypropylene (PP), Polyester (P), Stainless Steel (SS) and PEEK (PK).

Spectra/Mesh™ Nylon (N) Woven Filters:

  • Properties: Strong, durable, hydrophilic, high adsorption
  • Best Resistance: corrosives
  • Tolerance: 3-10 pH, up to 180°C
  • Sterilization: irradiation
  • 17 Mesh opening sizes: 5-1000 μm
  • 5 Disc dia. sizes: 25mm, 47mm, 55mm, 90mm and 150mm
  • 1 Square sheet size: 30 x 30 cm
Spectra/Mesh™ Polyester (P) Woven Filters:
Properties: Strong, durable, mildly hydrophobic, low adsorption
Best Resistance: alkalis and organics
Tolerance: 3-13 pH, up to 140°C
Sterilization: autoclavable
10 Mesh opening sizes: 5-300 °m
5 Disc dia. sizes: 25mm, 47mm, 55mm, 90mm & 150mm
1 Square sheet size: 30 x 30 cm
Spectra/Mesh™ Polypropylene (PP) Woven Filters:
  • Properties: Strong, durable, hydrophobic, low adsorption (inert)
  • Best Resistance: acids, alkalis and organics
  • Tolerance: 2-14 pH, up to 130°C
  • Sterilization: Autoclavable
  • 9 Mesh opening sizes: 105-1000 μm
  • 5 Disc dia. sizes: 25mm, 47mm, 55mm, 90mm and 150mm
  • 1 Square sheet size: 30 x 30 cm
Spectra/Mesh™ Stainless Steel (SS) Woven Filters:
  • Properties: very strong and durable, hydrophilic, high adsorption
  • Best Resistance: corrosives
  • Tolerance: 4-12 pH, up to 180°C
  • Sterilization: Autoclavable & Irradiation
  • 7 Mesh opening sizes: 30-914 μm
  • 2 Disc dia. sizes: 55mm and 90mm
  • 1 Square sheet size: 30 x 30 cm
Spectra/Mesh™ PEEK (PK) Woven Filters:
  • Properties: Medium strength and durability, very hydrophobic, very inert
  • Best Resistance: almost all
  • Tolerance: 1-14 pH, up to 250°C
  • Sterilization: Autoclavable
  • 5 Mesh opening sizes: 35-800 μm
  • 5 Disc dia. sizes: 25mm, 47mm, 55mm, 90mm and 150mm
  • 1 Square sheet size: 30 x 30 cm
