Meniscus-free cultureware for more accurate counting of hematopoietic colonies in CFU assays

  • SmartDish™ plates enable accurate and reproducible hematopoietic colony counting by preventing the formation of a meniscus
  • This allows for an even distribution of culture medium, resulting in a more uniform distribution of colonies throughout the entire 35 mm well
  • The absence of the meniscus also reduces optical distortion so that colonies located at the edge can be more easily counted
  • SmartDish™ (Catalog #27370) is the second generation of the original SmartDish™ plate (Catalog #27301)
  • These new plates use an improved coating, which streamlines the manufacturing process while consistently improving the visibility of hematopoietic colonies in culture through elimination of the mensicus
