Description
Silver benzoate hydrate along with 7-methyl-1,5,7-triazabicyclo[4.4.0]dec-5-ene (MTBD) is an efficient catalytic system for the reaction of carbon dioxide with various ketones. It was used in the synthesis of triphenyltinbenzoate. It is also used as a catalyst in Wolff rearrangement reactions.
