Silicone Standards are Newtonian fluids which are accurate to ±1% of viscosity value.

A convenient, reliable means of checking the calibration of most Brookfield viscometers. These fluids are calibrated at 25°C in 500mL bottles and are supplied with instructions and calibration certificate. These Newtonian oils are ideal for the calibration of Brookfield viscometers and each one is traceable to NIST standards. Silicone oils should not be used in the paint and some food industries. Similarly silicone fluid should not be used for the calibration of glass viscometers due to coating of the viscometer walls.
