PA1-7245 detects Shigella sp. This antibody is polyvalent for Shigella antigens. The antiserum is unabsorbed and does cross-react with related Enterobacteriacea. PA1-7245 has been successfully used in ELISA and immunofluorescence procedures. The PA1-7245 immunogen is a mixture of Shigella boydii, Shigella flexneri and Shigella dysenteriae.
