Invitrogen™ ReadyProbes™ 2.5% Normal Goat Serum (1X)
Description
- ReadyProbes 2.5% Normal Goat Serum is a ready-to-use non-specific blocker for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), and immunofluorescence (IF) experiments, usually when a goat secondary antibody is used.
- Incubating cells/tissue with diluted serum from the same species as the host of the secondary antibody typically reduces non-specific binding.
- Simply cover the tissue section or cells with a few drops of ReadyProbes 2.5% Normal Goat Serum and incubate for 30–60 minutes at room temperature.
- Ready Probes 2.5% Normal Goat Serum can also be used to dilute primary and secondary antibodies.
- Ready Probes 2.5% Normal Goat Serum is provided as a ready-to-use reagent with no further dilution or preparation required.
- The serum is collected from healthy adult animals and the heat-treated, centrifuged, and filtered. It is then checked for cross reactivity using an appropriate immunoassay.
- The serum is diluted to 2.5% (v/v) in buffer, with 0.08% sodium azide added as a preservative.
