Description

Description

Description: The monoclonal rat IgG2a, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin. Applications Reported: APC-eFluor® 780 Rat IgG2a Isotype Control (APC-Alexa Fluor® 750 replacement) has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: Rat IgG2a K Isotype Control APC-eFluor® 780 has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use isotype control at the same concentration as experimental antibody. APC-eFluor 780 emits at 780 nm and is excited with the Red laser (633 nm). Please make sure that your instrument is capable of detecting this fluorochome. Light sensitivity: This tandem is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Please protect this vial and stained samples from light. Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (cat. 00-8222) (100 µL cell sample + 100 µL IC Fixation Buffer) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (cat. 00-5333) for up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency/compensation. Some generalizations regarding fluorophore performance after fixation can be made, but clone specific performance should be determined empirically. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 780 nm; Laser: Red Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass that is commonly used in research and diagnostic applications. It is produced by the rat immune system and is known for its ability to activate complement and mediate antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). Rat IgG2a has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa and is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains. It is often used as a control or reference antibody in experiments involving rat models, and is also commonly used in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry applications.
