Gibco™ Primary Mouse Cortical Neurons
Description
Gibco Primary Mouse Cortical Neurons are isolated and cryopreserved from the brain cortices of C57BL/6 embryonic day-17 mice. The cryopreserved cortical neurons offer convenience and flexibility compared to primary neuron isolation workflows, and the availability of large single lots provides greater consistency to cell-based assays. The Primary Mouse Cortical Neurons are ready-to-use and provide reliable quality. All product lots yield post-thaw viability in the range of 50-80%, have high neuronal purity, and are verified for functionality.
- High viability—the cryopreserved cortical neurons exhibit exceptional survival rates (50% or greater), enabling reliable and consistent results
- High purity—immunofluorescence staining conducted on every lot with MAP2 to confirm high neuronal purity
- Dependable quality—release tests include sterility testing and mycoplasma testing
- Functionally validated—product demonstrates long-term survival and neurotransmitter response
