Applications Potassium hydrogen phosphate is used as a fertilizer, food additive, buffering agent, in molecular biology, biochemistry and chromatography. It is useful to increase the partition coefficients of amino acids in aqueous two-phase systems. It plays an important role for increase in rice grain yield by spraying chemicals including ferric chloride, di-potassium hydrogen phosphate and salicylic acid.
Solubility Soluble in water. Slightly soluble in alcohol.
Notes Hygroscopic chemical and incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and acids. Keep the material away from heat, sparks and flame and sources of ignition.
