The eight-well format of the NucleoSpin™ miniprep columns is easily processed by vacuum filtration. The NucleoVac 96 vacuum manifold allows simultaneous processing of multiples of eight samples in less than 90min. The NucleoSpin™ Multi-8 Plus Plasmid kit also contains NucleoSpin™ Plasmid filter strips to clear bacterial lysates instead of time consuming centrifugation. The NucleoSpin™ Multi-8 Plus Plasmid kit is designed for purifying up to 20μg of high copy-number plasmid DNA from 1mL to 5mLE. coliovernight cultures preferably grown in LB medium. The NucleoSpin™ Plasmid binding strips contain a unique silica membrane that binds DNA in the presence of chaotropic salt. After a modified alkaline lysis procedure, bacterial lysates are loaded onto the NucleoSpin™ Plasmid filter strips arranged on the NucleoVac 96 vacuum manifold. Filtrates are collected directly in the NucleoSpin™ Plasmid binding strips. After binding and washing highly pure plasmid DNA is eluted in low-salt buffer (5mM Tris/HCl, pH 8.5).
