Specification

Description Pierce IgG1 Fab and F(ab')2 Micro Preparation Kit
Formulation Multi-component kit
Quantity 0.8mL-resin kit
Sufficient For 10 antibody samples, each containing 25 to 250μg IgG
Kit Contents Cysteine-HCl, 1g
Item Description Micro Kit for 25 to 250μg IgG samples

The kits use ficin protease to enzymatically digest the Fc portion of whole IgG to yield Fab or F(ab')2 fragments. Because the ficin protease is supplied in immobilized form as beaded agarose resin, the digestion reaction is easily stopped by removing the resin from the IgG solution; the result is digest products that are enzyme-free. An optimized procedure and high-performance desalting and Protein A spin columns make these kits easy to use.

Highlights:

  • Enzyme-free digestion products – immobilized ficin (beaded agarose resin) provides for control of the digestion reaction and complete removal of resulting antibody fragments from the protease

  • Optimized for mouse IgG1 – the kit procedure is specifically optimized for monoclonal mouse IgG1 antibodies, providing the best possible yield for this antibody subclass

  • High capacity – kit provides for digestion and purification from as much as 4mg of IgG at a time. Use the standard size kit for fragmenting 0.25 to 4mg IgG, and the micro kit for 25 to 250μg IgG

  • Complete and easy to use – kits include all reagents, spin columns and accessories needed to prepare and purify antibody fragments

Includes:

Ficin agarose resin, cysteine, digestion buffer, Protein A columns with binding and elution buffers, spin desalting columns and accessories
