Manufactured according to European Pharmacopoeia Chapter 4 (4.2.2) and prepared in an ISO 9001 facility. Perchloric Acid, 0.1M, EP Grade, Reagecon™ is a ready-to-use volumetric solution with 8.5mL/L HClO₄ in acetic acid. It is a superacid used as a laboratory reagent.

Perchloric acid is a strong mineral acid that is useful in preparing perchloric salts. It functions as a powerful oxidizer when hot. This solution is prepared by mixing 8.5mL perchloric acid and about 900mL glacial acetic acid, adding 30mL acetic anhydride and then diluting to 1L with glacial acetic acid. This yields a 0.1M solution with about 10.046g/L HClO₄.
