Eurofins DiscoverX p70 S6 Kinase Protein, Active
Description
p70 S6 Kinase, also kown as RPS6KB1 (Ribosomal Protein S6 Kinase B1) is a Protein Coding gene. This gene encodes a member of the ribosomal S6 kinase family of serine/threonine kinases. The encoded protein responds to mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) signaling to promote protein synthesis, cell growth, and cell proliferation. Activity of this gene has been associated with human cancer.
GenBank M60724. The recombinant protein contains an amino acid substitution, T412E, with reference to M60724. This mutation mimics phosphorylation of T412 and facilitates activation by PDK1.
