OPTIZYME™ T4 DNA Pol is a template-dependent DNA polymerase that catalyzes 5'->3' synthesis from primed single-stranded DNA.

Applications and features:

  • OPTIZYME T4 DNA Polymerase creates blunt DNA ends by filling in 5'-overhangs and/or removing 3'-overhangs
  • Creation of blunt PCR products with 3'-dA overhangs
  • Oligonucleotide-directed site-specific mutagenesis
  • Synthesis of labeled DNA probes (by replacement reaction)
  • Ligation-independent cloning of PCR products
  • Active in buffers for OPTIZYME restriction enzymes, reverse transcriptases and T4 DNA ligase
  • 3'->5' exonuclease activity
  • Lacks 5'->3' exonuclease activity
