DescriptionMouse IL-7 (also called Lymphopoietin 1, LP-1), a pre-B cell growth factor, is an ∽25 kDa factor produced by bone marrow and thymic stromal cells, and spleen cells. IL-7 is a stromal cell-derived growth factor for progenitor B cells and T cells. The main population in the thymus responsive to IL-7 is CD4-CD8-. It also stimulates proliferation and differentiation of mature T cells and NK cells.
Sterile liquid; 0.1M glycine, pH 3.0, 0.22μm filtered.
E. coli expressed amino acids glu 26-ile 154 of mature mouse IL-7 accession # NM_008371
The ED50 of this protein, as measured by 2E8 cell proliferation assay, is less than or equal to 1.6ng/mL. This corresponds to a specific activity of greater than or equal to 6.3 x 105 Units/mg.
The methionylated polypeptide has a predicted molecular mass of 15,028. The DTT reduced protein migrates as a 15kDa polypeptide. The non-reduced protein has slightly higher mobility on non-reducing SDS-PAGE.
Less than 0.01ng/μg cytokine as determined by the LAL assay.
