Invitrogen™ Mouse IL-6 (ELISA Standard) Recombinant Protein
Description
Description: mouse IL-6 (also known as B Cell Stimulating Factor, BCSF, and BSF-2) is a ~21-28 kDa factor produced by a variety of cell types, including monocytes, fibroblasts and endothelial cells. Upon stimulation, macrophages, T, B, mast, and glial cells, eosinophils, keratinocytes and granulocytes also secrete IL-6. This pleiotrophic cytokine influences the antigen-specific immune response, inflammatory response, and the development of neurons, and is a major mediator of the acute phase reaction. Applications Reported: Mouse IL-6 Lyophilized Standard has been reported for use in the Mouse IL-6 ELISA Ready-SET-Go! Set (Product # 88-7064). Applications Tested: The intended use of the Mouse IL-6 Lyophilized Standard is as a standard for Mouse IL-6 ELISA (Product # 88-7064-88). Typically the standard is run in a series of 7 doubling dilutions from the 'top' standard. Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis included with each ELISA set for instructions on the proper reconstitution and dilution of the lyophilized standard. Note: These are single-use vials. Use one time within 4 hours of reconstitution and discard. Reconstitute and dilute as suggested in the Certificate of Analysis or recovery may not be accurate. Source: E. coli expressed amino acids Phe 25-Thre 211 of mature mouse IL-6 accession # MMINTL6.
