Used to prepare renaturation buffer. Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate, MP Biomedicals is an inorganic salt that can be generated from the acid leach solution of magnesite tailings. It is a potential phase change material (PCM) for storing thermal energy in

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2.6H2O) has been used to prepare renaturation buffer that is employed for the renaturation of denatured peptidoglycan (PGN) hydrolytic enzymes. It may be used as a catalyst in the preparation of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-(1H)-ones. The result of altering poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) films with magnesium chloride hexahydrate has been investigated. Its ability to reduce the flammability of cotton fabrics has also been studied.
