This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Pig, Cat, Sheep. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. Jumonji domain-containing protein 2C (JMJD2C)/ Lysine-specific demethylase 4C (KDM4C) is a histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-9' and 'Lys-36' residues of histone H3; thereby, playing a central role in histone code. KDM4C does not demethylate histone H3 'Lys-4', H3 'Lys-27', or H4 'Lys-20'. It demethylates trimethylated H3 'Lys-9' and H3 'Lys-36' residues. There is no activity on mono- or dimethylated residues. Demethylation of Lys residues generates formaldehyde and succinate.
