Designed to measure both surface and core temperatures. Hanna Instruments™ Infrared and Contact Thermometer for the Food Industry features an external probe, a quick, one-second infrared response time, a HOLD function, and a battery life indicator.

The Infrared and Contact Thermometer for the Food Industry is a durable meter that can be used throughout the food industry. The HI99556 offers an external temperature probe and features such as a quick, one-second response time, HOLD function, and Hanna’s Battery Error Prevention System (BEPS) that will shut the meter off when the battery power is too low for an accurate measurement.

As an infrared thermometer, the non-intrusive nature of the HI99556 is particularly attractive in the food industry since it translates itself into substantial savings by leaving products intact, especially those sealed or pre-wrapped. This type of non-intrusive measurement is also useful when the surface temperature is high, for difficult-to-reach places, or hygiene requirements must be followed.

As a contact thermometer with the HI765PW external probe, the HI99556 is able to check the internal temperature in addition to the surface measurement. By simply attaching the NTC thermistor probe, the meter becomes a convenient, 2-in-1 infrared-thermistor thermometer.
