Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (55%), Rat (55%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. ZNF169 (Zinc finger protein 169) is a 603 amino acid nuclear protein that contains one KRAB domain and thirteen C2H2-type zinc fingers. ZNF169 is highly expressed in kidney and weakly expressed in spleen, liver, small intestine and heart, where it functions as a transcription regulator. The gene encoding ZNF169 maps to a region of human chromosome 9q22, which has been associated with many human diseases such as colon cancer, migraine auras, basal cell carcinoma, Gorlin syndrome and Extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma.
