Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (65%), Rat (65%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-63704 (PA5-63704. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
ZNF692, a zinc finger protein, is involved in several cellular processes including nucleolar organization and ribosome biogenesis. It interacts with nucleophosmin (NPM1), regulating nucleolar morphology by modifying NPM1's self-assembly properties and influencing protein synthesis. Knockdown of ZNF692 causes nucleolar redistribution of NPM1 and results in a decreased rate of protein synthesis. Additionally, ZNF692 plays a role in 40S ribosomal subunit maturation by forming a hub with the exosome complex and ribosome biogenesis factors. This gene is upregulated in certain cancers such as clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), where its expression is associated with increased cell proliferation, migration, and poor overall survival.
