Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (91%), Rat (91%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84399 (PA5-84399. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

ZDHHC7 is a protein coding gene. Palmitoyltransferase with broad specificity. Palmitoylates JAM3. Palmitoylates SNAP25 and DLG4/PSD95. Palmitoylates sex steroid hormone receptors, including ESR1, PGR and AR, thereby regulating their targeting to the plasma membrane and their function in rapid intracellular signaling upon binding of sex hormones. May play a role in follicle stimulation hormone (FSH) activation of testicular Sertoli cells.
