Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (36%), Rat (36%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-61536 (PA5-61536. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
VRK2 serine/threonine kinases vaccinia related kinase 2 is a member of the vaccinia-related kinase (VRK) family of kinases. VRK2 is widely expressed in human tissues and highly expressed in actively dividing cells, such as those in testis, leukocytes, fetal liver and carcinomas. VRK2 can be used to phosphorylate casein and itself undergoes autophosphorylation. VRK2 interacts specifically with Epstein-Barr virus BHRF1, a homologue of Bcl-2, and this interaction is involved in protecting cells from apoptosis.
