Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (82%), Rat (82%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56840 (PA5-56840. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TTBK1 is a member of the casein kinase 1 superfamily, and it functions as a neuron-specific serine/threonine and tyrosine kinase. Its primary role is to regulate the phosphorylation of tau, a protein that stabilizes microtubule assemblies. It has been found that genetic variants in this gene are linked to Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, TTBK1 is associated with several other diseases, including Childhood-Onset Schizophrenia and Spinocerebellar Ataxia 11.
