Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (97%), Rat (97%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-54973 (PA5-54973. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
TMEM184B, also known as C22orf5, is a 407 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein and represents a novel gene in the activation of the MAPK signaling pathway. The gene encoding TMEM184B maps to human chromosome 22; mutations in several of the genes in chromosome 22 are involved in the development of autism, schizophrenia, Phelan-McDermid syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type 2, suggesting that TMEM184B may play a role in these syndromes.
