Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (79%), Rat (79%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56740 (PA5-56740. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein that is essential for positive selection and the development of single-positive thymocytes. Highest levels of expression are found in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes, with lower expression found in mature T cells. In addition to Grb1, Themis has been found to associate with PLC gamma 1 and LAT and is quickly phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. There are 5 isoforms of mouse Themis that are produced as a result of alternative splicing.
