Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (53%), Rat (53%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-65493 (PA5-65493. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT). The heterodimer formed with LCB1/SPTLC1 constitutes the catalytic core. The composition of the serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT) complex determines the substrate preference. The SPTLC1-SPTLC3-SPTSSA isozyme uses both C14-CoA and C16-CoA as substrates, while the SPTLC1-SPTLC3-SPTSSB has the ability to use a broader range of acyl-CoAs without apparent preference.
