Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (92%), Rat (92%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-60420 (PA5-60420. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The PPFIA3 protein is a member of the LAR protein-tyrosine phosphatase-interacting protein (liprin) family, a family of transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatases known to be important for axon guidance and mammary gland development. Similar to the other liprin family members, PPFIA3 can interact with ERC2, a member of the ELKS-Rab6-interacting protein-CAST family of proteins at the presynaptic termini, suggesting that these proteins may play a role in the molecular organization of presynaptic zones.
