Invitrogen™ Human PGM1 (aa 482-559) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (96%), Rat (96%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-55008 (PA5-55008. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Phosphoglucomutases (PGM; EC 5.4.2.2) catalyze the transfer of phosphate between the 1 and 6 positions of glucose. Isozymes of PGM are monomeric, with molecular masses of about 60 kD, and are encoded by several genes, including PGM1. In most cell types, PGM1 isozymes predominate, representing about 90% of total PGM activity. One exception is red cells, where PGM2 (MIM 172000) is a major isozyme (Putt et al., 1993 [PubMed 8257433]). [supplied by OMIM].
