This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-57755 (PA5-57755. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Nop56p is a yeast nucleolar protein that is part of a complex with the nucleolar proteins Nop58p and fibrillarin. Nop56p is required for assembly of the 60S ribosomal subunit and is involved in pre-rRNA processing. NOL5A is similar in sequence to Nop56p and is also found in the nucleolus.
