Invitrogen™ Human OPRD1 Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (71%), Rat (71%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
OPRD1 is an Opioid Receptor that is involved in the control of anxiety, depression, and pain. It is a promising target in the therapy of mood-altering disorders and drug addiction. Delta and kappa opioid receptors function synergistically by forming heterodimers. OPRD1 expression has been reported primarily in the brain. High OPRD1 expression has been documented in the cortex, caudate, hippocampus, nucleus accumbens, and putamen; low OPRD1 expression has been identified in the cerebellum, hypothalamus, substantia nigra, and thalamus. OPRD1 expression is reduced in the putamen and amygdala of Alzheimer's patients and in the putamen in Parkinson's disease.
