Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (87%), Rat (87%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-53726 (PA5-53726. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The sodium-potassium-chloride cotransporter isoform 2 is kidney-specific and is found on the apical membrane of the thick ascending limb of Henle's loop and the macula densa. It accounts for most of the NaCl resorption with the stoichiometry of 1Na:1K:2Cl and is sensitive to such diuretics as furosemide and bumetanide. Some Bartter-like syndromes result from defects in this gene.
