This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-82270 (PA5-82270. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

MDC1 participates in the early response to DNA damage. It is thought to be a member of the BRCT (BRCA1 C-terminus) super family of nuclear proteins. It contains an N-terminus forkhead-associated (FHA) motif, two C-terminus BRCT motifs and 13 internal repetitions of a 41 amino acid sequence.
