This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-52906 (PA5-52906. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

This gene is a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-likereceptor (LIR) family, which is found in a gene cluster atchromosomal region 19q13.4. The encoded protein belongs to thesubfamily B class of LIR receptors which contain two or fourextracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane domain, andtwo to four cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitorymotifs (ITIMs). Several other LIR subfamily B receptors areexpressed on immune cells where they bind to MHC class I moleculeson antigen-presenting cells and inhibit stimulation of an immuneresponse. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoformshave been found for this gene.
