Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (93%), Rat (93%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56207 (PA5-56207. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Leucine Aminopeptidase 3 (LAP3) is involved in the processing and regular turnover of intracellular proteins. It catalyzes the removal of unsubstituted N-terminal amino acids from various peptides. Release of an N-terminal amino acid, Xaa-/-Yaa-, in which Xaa is preferably Leu, but may be other amino acids including Pro although not Arg or Lys, and Yaa may be Pro. Amino acid amides and methyl esters are also readily hydrolyzed, but reated on arylamides are exceedingly low.
