Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (69%), Rat (69%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-55150 (PA5-55150. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
C8orf79 (chromosome 8 open reading frame 79) is a 454 amino acid protein that belongs to the methyltransferase superfamily and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 8p22. Consisting of nearly 146 million bases, chromosome 8 encodes about 800 genes. Translocation of portions of chromosome 8 with amplifications of the c-Myc gene are found in some leukemias and lymphomas, and are typically associated with a poor prognosis. Portions of chromosome 8 have been linked to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
